Ways to spend $27M

Assuming we don't re-sign any of our own free agents after this season, I counted that roughly $27M is coming off the books, and that doesn't even include Balfour's salary when it's very likely he could be traded. Out of  the $27M, $22M comes from Crisp, Willingham, Dejesus, and Matsui; it's unlikely any one of these 4 will be back next year.

So, what are the ways to spend $27M? Should we overpay for a power-hitting OF because that's the only way we can entice anyone to play here? Is starting pitching now a need because we now only have Cahill and Gonzalez as sure bets?

The team having at least $27M to spend in the offseason is gonna be the most fun thing to watch. I believe we should get a mulligan for 2011; no one thought Willingham, DeJesus, and Matsui will all be having their worst years together. Money wisely spend, with a smart trade here and there, and we could be at the cusp of something special in 2012.
