I hope Outman somehow stays... He's got better upside than Ross or McCarthy
Hell, Harden will be hurt again shortly anyway
by dashman33 on Jul 2, 2011 5:18 PM PDT via mobile reply actions
Outman having better upside than Ross?
LOL.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Outman’s potential a lot… hell, I have since watching him pitch in 2009, but Ross easily has a lot more upside.
''I am her night in baseball armor'' - Jose Canseco on Lady Gaga
Its not that much though
Its not a laughable amount and certainly an arguable one. They are both have the potential to be pretty good.
Seriously?
Ross is a shoulder injury waiting to happen. Pitch him, hope he throws well and sell high with him. What they should have done with Anderson
by dashman33 on Jul 2, 2011 6:05 PM PDT via mobile up reply actions
I'll agree with you on McCarthy.
However, Ross has plenty more upside that Outman. The only context in which Outman possibly outclasses Ross is in their mechanics, which has been the primary concern with Ross for years. There’s a reason we grabbed him in the first round.
With all the talk of our farm system being bad...
Its funny that they all (except AA) have .600 winning %s. The teams themselves are kicking ass.
that doesnt really mean anything

Last night too.
I think the starters are more uni-superstitious this year. If they win a game while wearing a certain color jersey, they automatically go back to it the next day.
I like greens at home.
The gold and green unis should have both been home and road all along.

It does.
What I really would like to see would be for the A’s to ditch the gray road pants, and change the fabric on the road jersey to a dark gray, so it would look like an alt jersey.
White pants at home and creamish gold pants on the road.

by Gaijin_Suketto on Jul 2, 2011 6:21 PM PDT up reply actions
They should get an exemption.
They used to wear bright white pants on the road until 1986.
A darker yellowish cream would compliment all the road jerseys, and have the effect that the old white road pants had, but not be bright and sparkly white.
The Padres’ goldish road uniforms of a few years ago would be enough of a precedent to get a different color pants approved, as long as it was subtle, like a creamy gold would.

Does anyone understand you cant have an odd number of teams in each league?
You cant have a team idle every week.
it'd be interleague every day

There would be one interleague series going on each night
I don't feel that I'm feeling your feelings, about these feelings that you feel.
However, you can have constant interleague play.
Also, even without interleague play, it’s possible to make a schedule in which no team ever has more than 2 off days in a row, and no team plays more than 5 scheduled doubleheaders, even with an odd team.

I meant in the event of a catastrophe where the outcome could be seen as a happy ending
i.e. The Yankees winning when NY was attacked

Besides the fact, I'm a Kings fan
Do NOT tell me there haven’t been some predetermined outcomes in the NBA. David Stern owes me a championship.

Rot in hell
for mentioning that man. His name, like the name of the manager of the D’Backs, is verboten north of Modesto.
But in actuality, the real crime in that series was Game 6, which was horrendously called. If the game is called fairly, Kings win the series and sweep the Nets in the Finals.

Must be a Warriors fan
hard to have ire for players when you win two playoff series in 30 years

Peja missed some crucial FTs
To seal the deal in Game 7.
Mike Bibby did hit a clutch shot in Game 5 with seconds to go.
But the referee scandal and point fixing did shatter a lot of confidence I had at the NBA being a clean competitive sport ( when compared to the other ones)
The FairWeather Channel - Sports Bumper Stickers and Bandwagon Forecast
It should have never gotten to Game 7
Anything can happen in a Game 7. The series should have ended the game before.

Yeah but the Knicks could never make it to the championship
even with help.
Sarcasm?
You’re a Raider fan, are you not dan? If so, you must share the undying, pure seething hatred I have for the Pats

Yes 2009 was awesome
2002, on the other hand, sucked flaming donkey testicles.
I don't feel that I'm feeling your feelings, about these feelings that you feel.

Don't think Outman has a place when Ross and McCarthy come back
Gio, Cahill, Harden (while healthy) Ross and McCarthy
Trade Moscoso while his stock is somewhat high

I cheered for the D-Backs as well in 01.
My dad loves the Yankees. The World Series in our house had to be watched in 2 different rooms.
