PrintOnce upon an off-season, the A's hoped that taking 3 out of 4 against the Angels this weekend would be "huge!" It may not qualify as huge now, but it would sure be nice. A's All-Star Gio Gonzalez will try to make it so today, going up against RHP Joel Piñeiro.
Jemile Weeks is fresh off of a 5-hit day, Scott Sizemore fresh off of a walk-off hit, so maybe the boys are feeling groovy and can produce hits like Simon and Garfunkel once did. Does anyone hear about Garfunkel anymore? And by any chance, can he DH?

My Girlfriend played D1 at UC Davis.....
They played against Alex Morgan in a few friendlys, and, my girlfriend as well as every girl on her team would talk about how this girl was on a completely different level than the rest of the Division 1 girls, who were all pretty good in their own right.
