Our fearless leader, Blez, wrote a great post that pretty much sums up our frustrations with Bud and his silence on our future.
So, with a non-baseball day following the ALL(most) STAR Game, here is a little fun and frivolity at the expense of Allan (Bud) Selig. Enjoy. The lyrics are below, feel free to sing along. It's quite cathartic.
Hello Selig, my old friend,
I’ve come to beg of you again,
Because a vision of our team leaving,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
But all from you, is silence.
In restless dreams we walk alone
and wait for Selig by the phone,
‘Neath the halo of the JumboTron
I turned on Towny but nothing was on
Then a fly was smashed to the deepest part of right
green tarps are a blight
A special gift from Selig.
And on a Tuesday night I saw
Five thousand people, probly four.
People begging but you’re not listening
People crying as the team’s leaving
People cheering guys that wont'be back next year
And no one dares
To Question, Bud Selig.
“Fools” said I, You do not know
Bud’s power like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Bud Selig is just out to fleece you.
But our pleas like silent raindrops fell,
Go to hell Bud Selig.
And the people bowed and prayed
To the baseball god they made.
Sports Center ticker had this warning,
The Oakland A's are relocating
And the words of a sign hanging on the left field wall
Lew has no balls
Still no whisper from Selig
