Now Selig has removed one of the "blue-ribbon" panel group members ( assigned to the A's ballpark situtation) to the Dodgers problem? Also, when Lew Wolff and an SF Chronicle reporter John Shea asked Selig for an update about the A's ballpark - Selig's response was "take it easy, wer'e working on it" (take it easy? two years after Selig appointed his blue ribbon committee to resolve the A's ballpark issue?)
Selig needs to go. (any other pro sports league would welcome San Jose into their league) This decision is a no-brainer. Oakland city officials have been waffling about a new stadium for decades. Meanwhile, San Jose has a definite plan for a new ballpark.
The gnats "territorial rights" claim is nonsense. (This must be a first in professional sports - where one team sharing a two team fan-base (the A's) is actually moving further away from the other team's (gnats) fanbase and the other team (gnats) opposes the move because it would intrude into their territory?) If Selig can't understand this he needs to vacate the commissioner's office.
