A's Team Up with Big League BBQ for the Bay Area BBQ Championship a benefit for foster youth

The Oakland A’s, International BBQ Cookers Association, CA BBQ Cookers Association and the Oakland Chamber of Commerce are teaming up with Alternative Family Services for the Bay Area BBQ Championship (www.bayareabbq.org) on July 16th in the Coliseum parking lot before the A’s double header against the LA Angels. All proceeds from this event will benefit the thousands of foster children, youth and families served by AFS. To learn more about AFS please visit www.afs4kids.org.

Celebrity Judges (Joey Altman, Narsai David, and more), VIPs and Certified Judges will determine which Pitmaster will be the BABC Grand Champion. The 2010 Tailgate Warriors Champion, Bad Boyz of BBQ team is one of the competitors.

Live stage show includes entertainment, a live food demo from Harry Stewart of Great American BBQ-Alameda, and a throwdown with CA BBQ Hall of Famer Ric Gilbert.

Tickets include BABC access, FIVE tasting tickets and a ticket to the A’s double header. General admission is $48, VIP $88 Kids $18.
