Sycning radio with TV: A solution! (For less than $20!)
I wasn't sure if this should be a FanPost or FanShot, but I didn't think it carried the same weight a FanPost should, so I played it safe. If you're like me, you'd much rather be able to listen to Mr. Korach and even Mr. Cotroneo in sync with the TV broadcast than listen to Mr. Kuiper. And if you're like me, you've tried or at least explored several different ways of making this work. Well, I found a pretty good one. This should work if you have an iPhone (that's what I use) but should probably work with your computer too. Let me explain. I bought the MLB AtBat 2011 app for my iPhone (it's currently $14.99 in the App Store, not too bad). When you buy the app, you get every team's radio broadcast for free the rest of the season. But since each broadcast is streaming (and not an actual...broadcast), it's delayed, in most cases more than the TV broadcast is. So, if you have a DVR like me, you can start the stream on your phone and turn the game on the TV. Pause the game and wait for the radio to catch up on your phone, hit play and there you go! I've done it a lot so far this season and it works great. The only downside is that you can't rewind to watch a play again or pause to leave the room unless you're ok with having to resync it when you get back. If you don't have one of the various iDevices but you have a Gameday Audio account ($20 per season, not terrible either), I'm guessing this works with that as well, as the delay is probably about the same. So this may have already been discussed here on AN but I thought I'd throw it out there in case it hasn't. I know a lot of you have had the same problem. Happy listening!

Syncing for Road Games
As a service to fans who like Ken and Vince, the A’s sync the road game radio broadcasts to Comcast so you can listen on your trusyt old FM radio without any subscription. Thank you Ken Pries. This is not possible for home games as the A’s rightfully want a realtime broadcast for fans listening at the game.
I didn't know this.
I will investigate tonight!

This has worked variably for me.
Sometimes the TV is ahead of the radio, in which case I can pause it until it catches up; but other times, the radio is ahead and there’s nothing I can do about it. I do like the MLB iPhone solution, though — hadn’t thought of that and will try it next time. Thanks.
Losing this team would be a huge failure for this city and an affront to Oakland’s great sports legacy.
