Minnesota-based A's fans?
Anyone in the area? A's roll through town April 8-10 (Friday - Sunday... home opener, tix are pretty expensive). I've never seen a game at Target Field and would love to catch the A's, but it's unfortunately that it's the home opener because tickets are particularly expensive. And I'm the only A's fan i know in the area (at least the only one I know who'd be willing to put down $35-40 for a ticket on the low end). If that doesn't work out, someone to just catch the game at a bar with would be sweet.

Hello there!
Always nice to see I’m not the only A’s fan in the Twin Cities. Unfortunately I am an idiot and will be out of town for that weekend so I can’t go to any of the games (also it’s super-lame that the A’s are only coming to mpls once this year and it’s the series that is the hardest to get tickets to – the home opener).
I went to both of the A’s v. Twins series at Target Field last year and I’ll say that it was a lot of fun. The stadium is all shiny and new and there were more A’s fans there than I expected to see. I would recommend getting to the games early and taking in batting practice if you can.
Also, I heard there are still standing room tickets available for Sunday’s game so you might want to check on that.

I didn;t know you were so close.
I did standing room only tix at a Cardinals game a few years ago. I will never do that again.
If someone is willing to pay a premium, they can get decent seats from online scalpers like StubHub. That’s not something I’m usually willing to pay for, but I did this time.

but will be in the Twin Cities at least twice this season, so perhaps we can do a meetup for a non-A’s game at Target Field. If we’re all really lucky, the opener will be snowed out and postponed until some convenient time in the summer!

I’m so tired of the snow. I just wish it would go away already.

Not Minnesota, but Iowa.
I have tix for the Saturday & Sunday games. Will be my first visit to Target Field. I’m excited.

flying out for the home opener in Oakland rather than spend the $300 or so I allotted for tickets in MN in April when it’s cold and windy, but you know what?…fuck it. I’ll make the finances come together. I’m in for any of the games you’re trying to go to. Worst case scenario we can just meet up and watch it at a bar like you suggested. Getting there early for bp is highly recommended though. The ushers are very accommodating and you can get right down to the A’s dugout for autographs and whatnot.
