We weren't, but we don't have surgery here.
We sent him to another hospital. I think it was too gone to reattach.
What qualifies it as too gone?
Like it had been unattached for too long and they didn’t put it on ice or something?

It depends on the location. There has to be adequate blood supply for the finger to
reattach and survive. Some get damaged with the injury (once they saved me a finger that was 1/4" thick – smashed it and pulled it off) and there isn’t a point to reattaching the mangled mess. In this case, it would almost be easier to graft some skin from his ass and cover the stump.
I imagine you'd have a hell of time explaining that to a patient

But then again, I’ve got a friend who’s a diehard Cardinals fan. His family is from St. Louis. I’d just rather have them win than Texas. The only way I’d root for the Rangers is if they were playing, well, the Giants.

I don’t care what anyone says, that is an inferior league for the most part.
Texas is way superior to them in all areas IMO.
The hitters are better the Pen is far superior.
They should pound the shit out of them in 5 games. I will give Carpenter one game. The rest of them are batting practice.
