This oughta be good for about 5 more wins than the black jersey from the pythagorean method alone.  Probably worth a few more WAR out of every player just because they feel sexier out there.  I was at the Yellow Jersey day last year and not only did Cahill look great, he pitched great.  Coincidence? Maybe not.

I remember Rick Peterson talking about the gold jerseys, comparing them to Lance Armstrong in the Tour de France.  He said something to the effect of when the A's get into August and get the gold jersey it's sorta like Lance in the mountain stages.  They did have some really great Augusts in the early part of last decade.  Just about that time they trotted out the gold jersey for a few days.  Bring it on.
