Chavez working out for Blue Jays
I for one hope he makes it back and is remembered as a great third baseman of the 2000's rather than the guy whose career never took off because of injuries.

I've said it before in other threads....
….the A’s should offer Chavez a minor league contract with an invite to Spring Training. Worst case: He can’t hit and can no longer field -—> cut him
Best case: He makes a miraculous comeback and is 75% of what he used to be, still better than Kouz. Please don’t shoot me

No, worst case is he looks great in spring training and the A's spend 4 months
figuring out that he really isn’t.
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal

How is this worse than Kouz?
You just keep Chavez on a short leash and cut him if this happens. You then fall back to Kouz. Either way, we have a black hole at 3rd and need to do something. Taking a flyer on Chavez is hardly going to bring our offensive juggernaut to a standstill.

I'm glad to hear Chavy is working out for the Blue Jays,
because the last four years he certainly didn’t work out for us.
