AN Ranks the Hotties - vote for #4

There is a very important question that needs to be answered in this off-season: Now that Travis and Chavvy are gone, who is AN's favorite hottie on the team? We must research this.

To find the answer, we're running this set of polls. Vote for the player you think is most good-looking. Or if your favorite is not listed, vote "write-in" and name him in the comments. All AN members are welcome to vote, regardless of gender or sexual preference. Straight guys, it's OK to judge how good-looking men are, so don't be shy. Go ahead and vote. It won't make you gay, I promise.

Wait, did I say "vote for #4"? Did you miss round #3? No, you didn't. It was a close contest between Ryan Sweeney and Rich Harden, but none of the others were even close, so I've declared them winners for the #2 and #3 spots. I know that's not very scientific. So sue me.

Star-divide

New candidates added this round are Kurt Suzuki and Coco Crisp. Others who have been mentioned as possible future candidates are Rosales, Blevins, and Ellis, but they're on hold for now because I don't want the list to get too long. (And am I the only one who likes Chris Carter? He'd be in my top five for sure.)

If there's another player you'd like to see on the list next time, write a comment saying "I nominate [so-and-so]". If the hottie you like already has a nomination comment, recommend the comment. Try to avoid nominating too promiscuously. A good rule of thumb would be to nominate if he's the guy you would vote for in this round or next. If there are still two guys currently listed whom you would pick before him, then be patient and nominate him a little later.

Feel free to share opinions or analysis of the hotness of the players. Also, any help in finding better pictures of current or future candidates will be much appreciated.

#15
Ryan Sweeney

born Feb 20, 1985 (Pisces)

Outfielder. Aka "Swooney". Acquired before the 2008 season in the Swisher trade. A traditional favorite, he missed a lot of time last year due to injury, so we didn't see as much of him.

Rich Harden
6'1", 195 lbs
born Nov 30, 1981 (Sagittarius)

#4
Coco Crisp
6'0", 180 lbs
born Nov 1, 1979 (Scorpio)

Center fielder. Signed prior to the 2010 season. He missed more than half the season due to injury, but he was awesome when he did play. Wide variety of hair options, including cornrows, huge fro, or bald.

David DeJesus
5'11", 190 lbs
born Dec 20, 1979 (Sagittarius)

#28
Conor Jackson
6'2", 215 lbs
born May 7, 1982 (Taurus)

Outfielder, aka "New Guy" even though he isn't new any more, famous for his eyebrows. Acquired mid-season last year, looks like he'll probably be a 4th or 5th OFer this year.

#15
Landon Powell
6'3", 255 lbs
born March 19, 1982 (Pisces)

Catcher. Drafted by the A's in the first round in 2004. Now plays backup to the A's 2004 second-round draft pick. Caught Dallas Braden's perfect game.

#8
Kurt Suzuki
5'11", 195 lbs
born Oct 4, 1983 (Libra)

Catcher. From Hawaii. Drafted by the A's in the second round in 2004. Starting catcher since July 2007, when Jason Kendall was traded away.

#15
Josh Willingham
6'2", 215 lbs
born Feb 17, 1979 (Aquarius)

Outfielder, acquired in trade just last month. Supposedly he's going to add power to our lame offense.

After voting for Bailey last round I've just voted for DeJesus this round,

though both were on the ballot last round — proving that when it comes to finding beauty in men, I am utterly inconsistent from day to day.

I had to vote eyebrows this round

He didn’t do much for me last season, but the photo posted won me over. Willingham/Barton/Suzuki all tied for 4th this round.

And whoo! I just bought my airfare for spring training!

3/18-3/20!

But unfortunately, I’ll be in Scottsdale (I’m traveling with 2 Giants fans and 0 A’s fans) 3/19 and 3/20 . Rooting for the Royals (by default) and A’s (of course).
