Open Thread - Game 139: Seattle Mariners @ Oakland Athletics (4)
Well, our A's tied the game at 3 (thanks to a lot of Seattle help) and even took the lead! After a 5-pitch eighth inning by Breslow, we got to the bottom of the 8th, 4-3 A's.

Seattle TV showing the guy trying to catch
Coco’s HR … AGAIN. They’ve played it like 25 times tonight.

Coco hit a HR?!
Love that guy.
The funny thing about baseball is that people will believe what they want to believe. -Joe Posnanski 8/29/09
You missed Chavy in the booth!!
It was fun yet sad.
Highlights:
After Coco’s HR: “I didn’t know he was this good.”
After the fan’s diving attempt at catching Coco’s HR ball: “That was an Eric Byrnes effort right there.”
Love him.
WHAT?!!?!?!?
GODDAMNIT!
I am swearing a lot out loud right now. FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!

He also asked Ray about Dibs
because “you guys talk about them every broadcast.” But he called them Dippin’ Dots at first.
And he has some weird combo of a mustache and a goatee.
And Diego is FIVE years old already!
He's fucking awesome.
I need to find this. How long was he in the booth for? TELL ME EVERYTHING!!!!

in the booth? Not the radio?
Also I only have At Bat on my iPhone…no archive.

Yeah, he was on tv
It was great, but also sort of sad. Ray and Glen were talking about his career in the past tense (“How much did you care about your defense?”), and he went along with it.

Gio didn’t give up a hit or anything while Chavy was in the booth, AND Coco hit a home run. He’s good luck.
