Open Thread - Game 139: Seattle Mariners @ Oakland Athletics (4)

Well, our A's tied the game at 3 (thanks to a lot of Seattle help) and even took the lead! After a 5-pitch eighth inning by Breslow, we got to the bottom of the 8th, 4-3 A's.

Seattle TV showing the guy trying to catch

Coco’s HR … AGAIN. They’ve played it like 25 times tonight.

You missed Chavy in the booth!!

It was fun yet sad.

Highlights:
After Coco’s HR: “I didn’t know he was this good.”
After the fan’s diving attempt at catching Coco’s HR ball: “That was an Eric Byrnes effort right there.”

Love him.

Blez: Most folks seem to believe that the big flaw with the 2010 Oakland A's will be the lack of any power.

Beane: They believe it because it's true.

I'll take it one series and one game at a time

technically we’re not out of it but instead of focusing on the mountain up ahead I’d rather concentrate on the pebbles along the road. There are some interesting series coming up: BoSox, ChiSox, Twinkies, and even one last go around with the Rangers.
