Open Thread 2 - ChiSox @ A's

We are 0-0 after 3 1/2, thanks to some champion spectatorship from Barton and Cust in the 3rd, when they looked at a total of 9 of 11 pitches en route to striking out with men on 1st & 3rd.  Barton's was particularly appalling, given the requisite, patented Oakland "look back at the umpire like he's crazy for calling a strike right down the middle" act.  An appearance from Bad Gio loaded the bases on walks in the 4th, but Good Gio returned from signing autographs for the ladies in the first row to retire the side unscathed.

In 2011 the A's would be well served to quit hanging around watching and make like these guys because it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that SWING, dammit.
