Jane Lee is reporting via Twitter that the A's highly touted - and highly expensive - young pitching prospect Michel Ynoa will be undergoing Tommy John surgery later this month. Damn, he's barely pitched in games and already he's damaged goods.

Unfortunately the bad news doesn't stop there. We may need to do grief counseling for Chris Townsend since his massive mancrush object, Adam Rosales, will be spending at least four weeks just resting due to an old stress fracture in his ankle that has never healed. Since there's only 6 weeks left to the season we have to prepare poor CT to deal with the loss of his favorite A's player (at least for the 2010 season). Susan Slusser has the details.
