Erm, Bres pitched like 6 games in a row during the homestand.

Two days off really constitutes for that?

Wuertz was scratched from a minor league game on Wednesday, but bounced back quickly on Thursday, throwing mostly fastballs and sliders, although he did mix in three sliders. -Rotoworld

by ElQuesoCapitan on Jul 3, 2010 8:12 PM PDT up reply actions

He's been pitching an awful lot

You can’t “blame” Geren for wanting to go to him, but this is why fans have to embrace using Wuertz, Blevins, Ross, etc. even when it’s scary to do so.

Honestly, Geren is starting to manage like he’s reading AN game threads and that’s not a good thing.

I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal

this call is definitely the greatest in the history of all talk radio

First, a rant against Bob Feller (who definitely IS one of the all time bastards in any sport and a disgusting racist and militaristic idiot, but also maybe the greatest power pitcher after Walter Johnson in MLB history) where it seemed as if the guy’s head would explode with rage and where he said he wouldn’t piss on the guy if he was on fire. and then, CT asks, what else you got? And the guy sighs and says in a resigned, depressed melancholic sighing voice,

:“We need a power hitter.”

I imagine that during the first part of the call

he looked something like this:

if Robert Buan had taken this call

he would have let the mic go dead and just curled up, trembling from head to toe, in the fetal position and the men in the white coats would have been summoned.

Jesse is a madman and when he calls in I stop taking drugs and defiling minors and plotting the revolution long enough to listen… he is AWESOME.

yes Bob Feller

he threw 107 but other than that, he is not a nice person.

He was not nice to Larry Doby, the first black AL player who came up to the Injuns in 1947 soon after Jackie R. and helped the Tribe win their last world series title in 1948.

I seriously had no idea. But I guess I should since there's been numerous times I've approached strangers

Seeing a Yankees hat could mean a diehard fan, a casual fan, or someone who just likes the city and knows nothing about baseball.

My friend is from Chicago and he is a huge White Sox fan and whenever he sees someone here wearing a Sox cap he always goes up to them to say something and half the time they have no idea what he is talking about and they arent even fans they just got the hat becuase they thought it was cool…..Most of the time they do not even realize that they are wearing a Sox cap…I ssupect the same is true for people wearing A’s stuff, even if it is hard for fans like us to understand..
