Another month of games, another month of GOGs. We are headed into the dog days of summer, and with that there are 9 more GOGs. Here are the days and opponents:

GOG 38: 8/9 OAK at SEA - paris7

GOG 41: 8/19 OAK vs. TB - nevermoor

GOG 42: 8/24 OAK at CLE - buddahead9

GOG 43: 8/27 OAK at TEX - cuppingmaster

GOG 44: 8/30 OAK at NYY

Once you indicate the GOG(s) you would like to make, I will change this FP to reflect that. All ties will be settled by arm wrestling, with sirbed as the judge.

but it’s easy to copy previous GOGs and just change the names of the players involved.

I will be on vacation around GOGs 42-44 so I can’t do any of those. If we need someone to do #44 [ after buddahead9 does #42 ;-) ] I could do one of the GOGs before if someone wants to switch to #44.

Also, who is doing the GOG tonight? Game time is less than 5 hrs away.

AND, I can’t seem to open the GOG reporting tool. It says page not found and goes to a search page.

here is a set of questions in case I get caught up with work or if Strana wants to copy and edit to save time.

1. The CWS have a home winning streak off 11 games  . Guess the outcome of the series. (3 points)

2. Lucas Harrell is making is Major League Debut, predict his IP, H, ER, BB, K (1 points each, 5 total)

3. Brett Anderson is back! Making only his 7th start of the season. Guess his totals in each of category. IP, H, XBH, ER, BB, K (1 point each, 6 points total)

4. Why not? Does Cust hit a HR in the series? Does he walk more than 2 times in the series? (2 points each, 4 total)

5. Gio Walked 3 batters in his last start. How many BB does he issue against CWS? How many K? (2 points each, 4 total)

6. Goatz and Starz and Boatz and Karz. Predict 2 players from each team, one with a positive WPA and one with a negative WPA total throughout the series*. [1 point each, 4 total]

7. Over/Under 5.5 XBH for the A’s this series? Over/Under 10 Hits for the A’s this series? (2 points each, 4 total)

8. Reliever J.J. Putz had tossed a franchise-record 27 consecutive scoreless appearances before giving up two runs to the woeful Mariners. Perhaps he was anxious pitching against his old team. Guess the totals for Putz in the series? Appearances, ER, K. (1 point each, 3 total)

9. First baseman Daric Barton has only 1 BB in the last 7 games he played in, how many this series? (2 points)

10. Now Andrew Bailey has a strained rib cage. Who pitches the 9th in each game for the A’s (I’m aware that if the CWS lead then no A’s pitcher will pitch. If you think a game will not have a bottom of the 9th then guess none.) (2 point each, 6 total)
