Seeing as how there are those who can manipulate the interwebs to watch our A's from anywhere in the world, I am wondering if anyone can help me with this issue (as stated in the title).
My brother has been working overseas in Hong Kong since Sep 2009, during which he has been using espn3.com to get his USA-sports fix (MLB, NBA, etc) as well as watching the World Cup in HD (he would log in with his AT&T DSL account, as he pays for our internet back here in the States). Shortly after the end of the World Cup, however, he had trouble loading espn3.com with his laptop, and when he emailed ESPN3.com about it, they told him that the website is for access by USA-IP addresses only (go figure). None of that explains why he had been able to use it for a good 9+ months with no issues, and is still able to load the page with his fiance's laptop (but unable to login and watch something).
Neither of us are tech-savvy enough to know how to fix this (and none of my friends know anything either) so I ask if AN can help us! Is there a VPN program that would mask his IP and replace it with a generic "USA" IP address? Set up some kind of home-server network that he accesses from the internet and then piggy-back our modem/router to surf the web with an USA-IP address? Some other method that I don't know of? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
