Well, Sunday's .500 celebration was certainly cut short. But we do it again tonight.
Dallas Braden (4-7 3.83 ERA) is back tonight from the DL, and he faces knuckleballer Tim Wakefield (3-8 5.65 ERA). Wakefield could possibly be at the end of his Moyer-esque rope, as he's been hit pretty hard this year. Hopefully the A's are able to cobble together some offense.

Nothing that I know of.
Catcher defense is pretty difficult to statistically figure out. No way you can really quantify game calling, and they get the opportunity to make defensive plays once every couple of games or so.

Is it possible
that our hitters get some sort of good team jitters? We hit fine against a cy young winner in Greinke, yet can’t muster anything against mediocre pitchers like Daisuke and Wakefield. I realize Greinke has had his struggles this year, but he’s still appreciably better than Dice mand and Knuckle man. I noticed this when we were playing the Yankees, too.
Greinke made two throwing errors that greatly contributed to his demise

SJ will go for a privately financed downtown stadium in a second. As long as they get their guarantees, most folks will go for a little bit of good news in a “down economy”. Especially when it costs them nothing. SJ is a city on the rise, current economy be damned.
