Around SBN: Penn State Recruiting Roundup Is Set For A Big Junior Day

Open Thread: Game 81 - A's vs. Cleveland (3)

We head to the top of the seventh inning; Gio spinning a scoreless game only thanks to a very unusual play. Sweeney actually threw a runner out at first on a sure base hit to right field, after Gio loaded the bases with three straight singles in the sixth. The A's lead 3-0, after adding two runs on a Mark Ellis double.

Redmond Grounds Out, Right To First

Not a line one sees in a play by play very often. It doesn’t happen to Bengie Molina, who is even slower, because he isn’t a wimpy hitter with no power to right field like Redmond.

But I actually do think Dan’s concerns about it’s use is justified so it’s best only people who actually know how to do it and what the ramifications are, do it. It would take more than a brief explanation otherwise you’ll be pretty dangerous with it and could make an entire thread completely unreadable, very very easily.
