Weird 70's DC Comic about a kid pitcher who beats the Oakland A's

Check out the whole story here! This is from an odd 70's comic released from DC about various sports. The story itself is strangely similar to the movie Rookie of the Year, where a young Cubs fan breaks his arm which later heals into the arm of a big league pitcher. This little comic story tells me two things: 1.) People at DC at the time must've never seen a professional baseball game in their lives because the A's were colored Blue and Red. 2.) Editing is better nowadays, because you know an artists or two would've been fired if they'd made a mistake like that in a modern comic book.
