Stolen from dan's recap
And yet, the A’s banged out a season-high 18 hits, including two home runs from Kurt Suzuki and Jack Cust. Ryan Sweeney increased his season average to .324 by going 3 for 5, Eric Patterson went 3 for 5 (in the cheapest way possible, but 3 for 5 it was), and oh, before I forget, Kurt Suzuki had three additional hits to go with his monster 4 RBI 4 hit day.

Stephen Strasburg wasn’t the only person to make his debut tonight. Florida Marlins slugger Mike Stanton was in the lineup tonight for the first time in his career.

Before Stanton went 3-for-5 in his debut Tuesday at Philadelphia, with two choppers over the mound for infield hits and a lined opposite-field single to right, the Marlins tried to temper expectations for their phenom. […] In fact, Stanton came up with Florida down two in the ninth, two out and runners on first and second. He managed an infield single before Ronny Paulino popped up to end the game.

Profootballtalk.com confirms the report. Tate and a friend apparently got the munchies after hitting the bar scene. The only problem was that the donut shop was closed while they were scarfing down breakfast.

No, not at all

But in the first season, the songs fit the story lines. This season, though, they’ve awkwardly jammed story lines around the music, and it’s come off as gimmicky (Madonna week! Lady Gaga week!) rather than organic.

Yeah, that was bad

And to nitpick, I was wondering why they were in full-on mod fashion at the regional show, so you might expect some sort of Swinging London-era songs, but instead they did a bunch of Journey songs. Then, only later, they do “To Sir, With Love.”

I think they've pulled off some good arrangements

“Jump,” “Don’t Stop Believing” (from last season, IIRC), and a few others. I’m not a big fan of the originals, so they’re not all that sacred to me. If they ever touch Guided by Voices or something, I might be pretty pissed too.
