sigh

Just as Jack Cust starts hitting.

I’m not rooting for injury, but there’s zero reason for Chavez to be on the team right now.

WOW

Must be a lot better than what reports were indicating about him possibly being done. Hopefully if he comes back this year, he is more loose and felxible at the plate because he was looking way too stiff. Hopefully he can get his back to feel better.

let's hope he goes on a solid rehab assignment

to get him actually hitting before the A’s consider adding him to the team

Can't he rehab in Switzerland or something?

Nice nice time in a Swiss villa, long naps and laps in the pool. I expect he’ll be ready to come back no later than, mmm…, 2014.

I don't think anything short of being embarrased by minor league pitching

Will be enough to push Chavez into retirement, so I’m all for him spending a few weeks in Sacramento (he can probably still hit in Stockton and they are not sending him all the way to Midland).

I remember when I used to get excited about Chavy coming off the DL

That was a long time ago.

Prince: This bores me. Is anyone up for a game of basketball?

My Spidey-Sense says they want a nice long rehab so he can injure himself again without disrupting the ML roster.

Nothing against the guy personally, but I really don’t want him back.

Pitching and defense wins pennants, but offense sells tickets.
