CoCo is hitting 600ish in the minors
We should keep him down there for another week to make sure he doesn’t break. I would hate to use up E. Patts last option and besides we don’t need one of the best hitters in our system the way our offense is clicking.

oh wait, i see what you did there
i think.
sarcasm?
either way.
I like the sarcasm
But if you count Cust as an OF, I think Crisp would be the 5th best offensive outfielder on the major league team.

My take
I’m not saying Crisp is the chosen. I see him having a .750 OPS without the obvious fielding deficiencies players like Cust and E Patt have while also having base running flexibility. Meanwhile he breaks when he sneezes so having him walk in and out of the dugout in low ball while he mocks the pitching is of little use when I can only assume one of these games he will pull, snap or lose something. I just do not see the point of him being beaten up in useless minor league innings when the only issue with a call up is a shittier more tan version of Gabe Gross being bumped off the roster.

Meh, I haven't seen anything from Crisp over the course of his career (when healthy) that suggests he's much better than Davis
And now he’s going to be playing in Oakland after a number of major injuries. Killing AAA pitching is nice, but I don’t have any expectations of him.

When he’s recalled, he should be coming off the bench.

It has more to do with Sweeney, Davis and Jackson. They’re all just simply better right now.

I was all for that, until Davis swung at the first pitch every at bloody bat.
Rajai needs benching for a day or two until he learns to take a pitch.

I hear you but my argument is E Patt if you reread it.
Keeping CoCo in AAA accomplishes nothing at all. He obviously does not need the tune up. He obviously has a finite amount of innings before he breaks. E Patt is obviously at the back end of the major league OF roster and honestly he is in over his head there. Unless you want Crisp carrying the Cats for some run to get back into a race it’s simply nonsensical roster management.

As the pro team continues its journey towards oblivion
I’m really counting on just focusing my energy on the minors. C’mon young fellas, step it up!
I'm very excited about these guys
I don’t think it’s going to be the mashing 2011 lineup we had in our heads at the beginning of the season, but it’s nice to see there’s some potential down there. Now, we need some of them to start knocking on the big league door.
Who’s going to be the next Sam Demel?
I might put some stock into FDLS, but I still have fanboy hopes they’ll switch him back to the starting role next season.
yea
it seems like they are being really cautious with him. I’d definitely like to see him get stretched out and get used to the starting role again. We’re pretty covered with relievers no?

we're covered with high potential relievers
but in all reality, we have Bowers in our Major League bullpen. So, no.
i like bowers over blevins.
cant stand blevins.
the next reliever on the org chart, really
is either Henry Rodriguez or Jon Hunton. Or Brad Kilby or Dan Giese.
I actually had hopes for Storey

oh he's probably our best relief prospect
But I was talking about ML readiness – Storey isn’t in AAA.
AJ K-J homers!
Yay! And of course strikes out in his three other plate appearances, but I’ll ignore that for now. Here’s one for the big-boned guys!

Texas League All-Stars
Travis Banwart, Carlos Hernandez, Alex Valdez, Archie Gilbert, Josh Horton, Corey Brown and all the Midland coaches.
Hernandez has been surprisingly good. He still has a tiny shot at a major league career.

The TX League ASG is kind of funny in that it's only between their eight teams...
…so both rosters have about half a dozen players from each team on it. It’s almost like seeing a regular game between all of them.

MLB can look kinda amateurish during the draft itself, but they have the best post-draft setup of any major sport
No long wait, no extended training camp, no “team organized activities” or whatever. Get drafted, negotiate a contract, sign it, and start playing in real games within a couple of weeks.

i cant believe we are 8 games back
that was quick. although texas’ interleague schedule might be the most horse shit schedule of all-time. brewers, marlins, astros, pirates, astros. WOW. just give them the trophy.
Ynoa
Domination so far.

Where did you see that?
What level is he pitching? AZL SS? I didn’t know anyone below Vancouver started yet.
Are his 3 IP over one or two appearances? Good to see his control issues appear to be under command thus far.
