He accomplished this task on Mother's Day, in the presence of his grandmother who raised him since the day his mother passed away when he was in his senior year of high school. Dallas also threw his perfecto less than a month after having some words with Alex Rodriguez after A-Rod ran across the pitcher's mound while Braden was pitching against the Yankees on April 22nd. For the record, the A's won that game. Dallas' perfect game would clearly extend what A-Rod referred to as Dallas Braden's "15 minutes of fame."
