According to Arbitron the company that tracks radio ratings, KTRB had 0.0 rating in January, by March it jumped to 0.1, now the rating has tripled to 0.3. Meanwhile KTCT (ticket 1050), is also 0.3 down from 0.4. KTRB just keeps getting stronger, now we have a radio station that can compete with KNBR's attempt to block a second sports station in the market.
Chris Townsend said it on his show Thursday night, when he was with KNBR they took steps to prevent competition, now the chains are being broken and the walls are coming down. Also KNBR's ratings remain strong, they rebounded from ranking 20th in the market with a 2.1 to a robust 3.6.
