Thanks for posting these
It’s difficult to think of a single positive in the A’s entire minor league system right now….
Parker, for sure...

one positive
that most are healthy enough to jog out onto the field?
This
He is starting to excite me.
Any help on his repertoire?
I’ve heard fastball around 95…

He definitely wasn't throwing 95 last year
If he was, no way he would last all the way to the 7th round, regardless of his other issues. BA pre-draft scouting report said 89-91 fastball with an advanced curveball and changeup for a high school pitcher. His biggest strengths are supposed to be excellent command and ability to keep to ball on the ground, which fueled the Brett Anderson comparasions, and he’s definitely showing those skills in Kane County right now.
He was high 80s coming out of high school.
Apparently the A’s have cleaned up his mechanics and how he throws in the low 90s.
I think he throws a curveball and I imagine throws a change up (or the A’s will soon teach him one). Not sure if he throws a slider or not.
And yes he is an exciting pitching prospect. Still a ways away though.
He steps to the left, he steps to the riiiiiiight. That Amos Roberts, he'll make you look shite!
I'm afraid to even daydream about the 2009 class
Because if I do, they will all suffer every injury known to sports medicine, join priesthood or start sucking for no apparent reason, just like their counterparts from 2007-08 drafts. But yeah, there’s a lot of upside there, especially with Stassi and Krol, and Parker is doing better than anyone expected. Even with Green sucking, we can be relatively happy with the first year returns.
Well, still good news
I think I may have heard the 95 just from someone idiot on a message board.
Nice to get a more accurate observation of his stuff…

I'm only repeating what I read on the Scout board.
He steps to the left, he steps to the riiiiiiight. That Amos Roberts, he'll make you look shite!
I know, but I was being silly. He probably will have about 111 Ks (more, I'm sure) this year

That's a .777 OPS!

I just do not understand what's going on with Green?
Is the pitching that much different from what he saw in the Cape Cod League?
Is this an extended slump?
I just don’t know what to gather from the struggles he’s having.

I heard the dreaded "Stanford swing" phrase the other day
Of course, he didn’t go to Stanford, but apparently he’s swinging the bat like he did.
