According to Comcast SportsNet analyst Mychael Urban, the Oakland Athletics have promoted designated hitter Jack Cust from Triple-A Sacramento.
Urban tweets:
"I'm so excited," Cust said. "I cant wait to try to help the guys"
Cust will be in uniform for Saturday night's game at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. In 143 plate appearances and 33 games for the Sacramento River Cats, Jack Cust had a hitting slash of .273/.444/.436 (.880 OPS) with four home runs and 19 runs batted in.
