A friend of mine that played some major league baseball - including parts of two seasons in Texas - tells me that Alex Rodriguez is one of the best guys in baseball.  That on the first day of spring train, he knew everyone's name and was very generous to all his teammates, veterans and rookies alike.

But have have no problem hating him.  Why does he always come off as the duche?

I'm sure Braden is taking a beating on Yankee-centric blogs.  I saw that Al Leiter was less than complimentary...but I don't give a damn.  Braden did a great thing today.  The message wasn't so much "stay off my mound" as much as it was that the Oakland Athletics won't be intimidated by anyone.

I hope Rodriguez gets fed a baseball next time they play.
