Amazing, A's most boring team in Majors

Amazing, A's most boring team in Majors

I am not an A's hater. I actually wear A's boxer shorts to bed and shower with a baseball-shaped A's "soap-on-a-rope".

I am not posting here to upset other A's fans.  I've had season tickets many seasons and I've watched or listened to 100 games a year for 35 years -- I've seen the awesome teams and horrible teams.  That's why I'm qualified to say this year's team is BORING.

Even the past horrible teams featured EXCITING prospects like young Ricky, young Jose or rookie Vida Blue.  Some of the dismal teams featured must-watch guys like Dave Kingman, Dick Allen or Joquin Andujar.  This year's team features nobody worth stopping to watch.

It is a testament to fans on this website that participation is so high.  Sure many people here would rather talk about squirrels than the baseball team, but squirrels might be more intereting at this point.

The pitching staff is solid and has the A's temporarily in 1st place.  The line-up is a snoozer.  It would be very easy to release many position players (Buck, Patterson, Fox, Chavez, Gross).

Most of the position players are very "forgetable" as Simon Cowell says on American Idol. That means they are ok major leaguers, but very replaceable: Ellis, Kousmanoff, Sweeney, Crisp, Davis, Barton, Pennington, Rosales.  Those guys can't be your best players -- just adequate filler on a good team.

It doesn't help that the A's play in the Oakland Coliseum -- outdated, cold, empty pitcher-freindly hitter-sufficating.  Most exciting thing about the A's organization is AAA team.  Maybe pitching and a weak division will make the A's watchable this summer.  How about those squirrels?
