A foregone conclusion, I know, but it's official.
Really would've liked to see him while the Cats were here in Portland, but alas it was not to be.

I am confused why he is down
if we have Jake Fox up. I thought Dallas McPherson would be better too.

Fox is out of options. If he's not on the 25 man roster the A's risk losing him
they needed to DFA someone to get Ross on the 40 man roster. they gambled successfully on Cust, figuring no one would claim him and he’d accept an assignment to Sacramento.
You never know, he may be back up this season.
