Open Thread: Spring Training Game 3 - A's Hosting Mice
The A's and Angels battle on, 2-2 in the 6th in a game I CAN'T HEAR ON KTRB EVEN THOUGH TODAY IS LISTED AS A RADIO BROADCAST. But I'm not bitter.

No Way To Switch From KLAA to KTRB
There is no alternative shown, so I can’t switch that way. When I click on the A’s links, I get nothing… not even a choice to switch to KLAA.
that happened to me until the broadcast actually started
also, it happened until I renewed my subscription…
That is the problem
I haven’t renewed mine yet either….
maybe I just still got it, too.
if it goes from year to year….
Maybe I didn’t get it right at opening of spring training last year…

How Do I Renew?
All I see is offers to buy MLB.TV…
Welcome to MLB.com customer service...
"And Julio Franco is batting right-handed!" -- Wayne Hagin, A's radio play-by-play, mid-80s
I Wandered Through Their Support Web Pages
and finally managed after I had changed my primary credit card.
they actually had my address and card from 5 years ago
even though I’ve renewed several times since moving
Their "Wallet" Can't Be Spring Cleaned
I want all the other old card data cleared out of my “wallet”… it’s none of their business what cards I used to use (or used to have)… but there’s no way to do it!
Could you put erroneous information in there?
"And Julio Franco is batting right-handed!" -- Wayne Hagin, A's radio play-by-play, mid-80s
Yes, But You Can't Remove The Card Number
which is what I don’t want them to have.
Hmm, I see that now
It looks like you change the expiration date, though. Can you put in the wrong one?
"And Julio Franco is batting right-handed!" -- Wayne Hagin, A's radio play-by-play, mid-80s
I think I must've renewed mine at the end of last season.
Didn’t they offer it to us before they raised their rates?

Conflict With Stanford MBB
When TV made a late change to move up the Stanford-Cal MBB game from its originally scheduled time to 3:00 PM, KTRB probably had no choice but to not cover today’s game. The Stanford pre-game starts at 2:30 PM.
Yes, Cal At Stanford Is On CSN California At 3:00 PM
Same network as the A’s. I think it will be a Cal telecast… they have a side deal with CSN California from the days when it only carried the Kings… and not a Pac-10 telecast, which would be on CSN Bay Area instead and have neutral announcers (I’ll turn down the Cal ones).
That makes sense.
Since this is an exhibition game, after all.
Not that college basketball should ever take precedence over MLB.

Yep
A’s need to break through their tendency for being bad in the clutch soon here. After awhile it becomes a self fulfilling thing.
They need a ballsy, confident player to lead the way, then, often, it becomes contagious.
(don’t tell PT i said this.)

People theorize that dry air either makes it hard for pitches to break, or it dries out the baseballs themselves
which makes it harder to throw curves and sliders. I think this is the current consensus on why Coors has always been such a hitter’s paradise, and why keeping the baseballs in a humidor has calmed down the run-scoring up there.
