Open Thread: Spring Training Game 2 A's vs. Brewers
AN's Fantasy Baseball: Enter now for a chance to compete!
Oh boy, oh boy oh BOY! I haven't had a game thread in way too long! Today, Ben Sheets and the A's take on the Brewers, as the A's try to best their hit total from yesterday (hint: that shouldn't be too hard). Sheets should know the Brewers; he spent his whole career up to this point with them.
Here's the Gameday Link
And here are your lineups:
Brewers
Weeks, 2B
Gomez, C, CF
Braun, LF
Edmonds, RF
Zaun, DH
Kottaras, G, C
Escobar, A, SS
Heether, 3B
Wilson, S, 1B
Your 2010 Oakland Athletics!
Davis, LF
Ellis, 2B
Suzuki, C
Kouzmanoff, 3B
Chavez, 1B !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cust, DH
Buck, RF
Rosales, SS
Patterson, CF
Stay tuned after the game for an AN Exclusive Interview with Ken Pries, the VP of broadcasting and communications.
Let's go Oak-land!

Also, someone was asking about the ST radio schedule yesterday. Here it is for the season (incl. ST).

this is straight from the KTRB auto-response email i received after complaining to them about ditching lurie:
We have the Radio Shack model in our studio, which is located in the interior of a buildiing in the city where our signal is not optimum. We have found a “sweet spot” where the reception is clear. If we move the radio up or down, or left or right, even slightly, we lose the station, but it is clear in that one spot. You might also find this kind of solution.

Of course it is Radio Shack

is career threatening. But the majority of throws from SS should be shorter. From what I’ve heard Chavy say in interviews, he’s just trying to make as few throws as possible. We’ll see what happens. I’m just happy to see him get a hit and not get hurt. Baby steps.

I love Chavy but me neither.
That’s why we only get one of Chavez/Fox. Rosales may not have the bat, but he’ll be the only guy on the roster besides Pennington that can cover at shortstop.
Let's see
He was a natural SS coming up in the minors. Plus it would be really cool. Therefore, I see no reason why he can’t do it.

I was thinking that,
but I guess it’s still spring training. Where “plus it would be really cool” actually is a pretty good reason from where I see it.

Almost all the restaurants in my neighborhood are Korean-owned
British fish&chips, boolgogi burgers, chinese, mexican, japanese
all Korean owned & operated, most with good service, most with good food.
My favorite is the fish & chips place. Molly’s always got some sort of Californian/Korean hybrid special, and she’s an A’s fan.
