spring tactics, hmmm....
A) do i pay attention to the new radio commercials and try to memorize them as quickly as possible, hoping that i won’t notice them at all by game 140 or so of the regular season?
B) or do i try to hold out and attempt ignoring them for as long as possible, which is probably 20-25 games, and go into the postseason (please A’s, get there so that this is relevant) at peak sickness over whatever jingles we get this year?
c) just focus on not spilling my beer on the dance floor.

whether it was Savage or someone else (I’m not familiar with him) whoever it was was talking about the A’s….and it was just before Korach and Fosse began the pregame show.
Savage is from 3-6pm.
Since this game started at 12pm, I’m guessing it was probably Rick Tittle, who goes from 10-12pm.
Tittle is a big A's fan, which explains why he can talk about them

My interest in A's baseball diminshed by like 16% when I saw Rajai in left
Since he’s a far superior defensive player to Crisp, it just pisses me off that the A’s – a smart organization – do such dumb things (hey, they did it last year when they thought Hairston could play center, too).
I hope this is done just to get Gross some CF time, because Crisp in center and Rajai in left is just too stupid for me to think about.

but at UC Berkeley, 31+% of students qualify for Pell Grants (for those coming from low income families), and at UCLA it’s above 33%. I don’t think that 95% is accurate, but I don’t know the exact number.

i don’t know… i’ve seen two games there and there’s definitely aura there—a palpable link to baseball history. there’s a bunch of people cheering for the wrong team for all the wrong reasons too. but that’s not the stadium’s fault.

I truly think the stadium is a complete and total dump
It’s dirty, gross, and falling apart (literally – piece of concrete are falling). It’s got bad food, no urinals (troughs are for animals, damnit), and horrible sight lines. The seats are rickety and uncomfortable, and the ushers are 200 years old and not helpful. The scoreboard sucks, and there’s no parking.
It’s old. That’s it. It’s an old place and people love old things. I try to love things that don’t totally suck.
