If I wasn't reading AN simultaneously it would be useful.

Rickey and Raj
Seem to have a genuine affinity. That can be nothing but good for us, them and the A’s.
Let’s hope Raj transfers some of that Rickey thing to his game and surprises those who don’t think he can repeat or come close. (I could see him either way, not surprised if he was a one year wonder, but a part of me thinks maybe he could have found something last year, figured it out.)
Patterson comes through, go A’s! (Patterson’s late season run o goodness last year is maybe getting swept under the rug a bit, imo.)

According to Slusser
“Donnie Moore & Radical Reality performed feats of strength to motivate A’s players.”
Good to see that the A’s can book the same act that once came to my high school for an “inspirational” assembly.

Man, just wait until he starts actually stepping toward the plate when he pitches.
I AM VERY MUCH ENJOYING THE HITTING OF BASEBALLS AND SCORING OF RUNS. -mikev
Do you know what exactly the A's are doing with Ross?
At some point his health is the main concern, but maybe his arm works that way. Funky delivery for sure.
by supersugarCrisp on Mar 18, 2010 3:31 PM PDT up reply actions
He was drafted last year out of Cal
GO BEARS
He’ friggin gigantic, like 6’6" or something, but he’s got a WEIRD delivery. He looks like he doesn’t step nearly far enough toward the plate when he throws, it’s painful looking.
Here’s a pic:

Yeah
And coming down from his height the ball goes through the strike zone at that more severe angle, which i don’t know makes it that much harder once hitters have seen it a few times or not.

I wonder how much of that is good pitching
Versus deception from simply being freakishly tall for a pitcher.

He's got good "stuff"
He was a 2nd round pick from Cal and he pitched for the US National Team.
He’s just got frightening mechanics, he has the “inverted W” in his motion that was made very famous by… Mark Prior.
It seems to be a “when” and not “if” he suffers arm problems. Hopefully it’s not for a long, long time.

Ross!
Comes from behind (maybe not to start the season) to pass Gio, Cahill and Mazzaro on the depth chart.
That’d be nice though.

work impeded my listening to the game until the sixth inning
which was a good time to start listening, as it turns out
going out of town for a week tonight
sadly, not to spring training. But that’s ok since i’ve got my season tickets!!!

Wuertz was scratched from a minor league game on Wednesday, but bounced back quickly on Thursday, throwing mostly fastballs and sliders, although he did mix in three sliders.

Like, 97% of the typos and errors I make when I type are on purpose to add comedic value. I just don’t get how people can look at stuff like that and not even proofread.

Did SuSlu put that one up for them and then re-edit it after?
Someone had mentioned on a previous thread that she could start to deceive those thieves.
A Ballade [for the Angels Fan], by Eustache Deschamps: "We are cowardly, ill-formed and weak / Aged, envious and evil-spoken. / I see only fools and sots / Truly the end is nigh / All goes ill."
