MLB Trade Rumors: Oakland Appears To Be Out Of Beltre Bidding
First Dunn goes to the White Sox, then Berkman goes to the Cardinals...
...then we get some bad news about Iwakuma from Susan Slusser:
With under 24 hours left to come to an agreement with Iwakuma (he needs a physical before it's official) it's not looking good.
Now this from Buster Olney. Who are these "other players" the A's are looking at? And since we've got some money to spend, why not go for another big name? How 'bout Cliff Lee? How 'bout Carl Crawford? Manny? Thome?
Your thoughts.

@Buster_ESPN Heard this: Beltre camp looking for 5 years, north of $70M.
I’ve never been too fond of Beltre anyways, and I think his year with the Red Sox is another example a player performing in their contract year so they can cash-in during the off-season. Which also happened in his final year in LA. (The only 2 years he has hit above .300 are years before he changes teams) And if the A’s were to shell out that kind of money, I’d much rather it be spent on a consistent bat than spark-plug in Beltre.
Does anyone know how much money Carlos Pena wants? I’d be willing to give him a 1 or 2 year deal for the right price.
