all you need to know about carlos gonzalez
also using road home splits is not a good idea. better to use park and league adjusted stats at baseball reference or fangraphs

Confused.
I read the entire link you posted, and imo, it explains that road home splits would be PERFECT for a guy like Carlos Gonzalez, given that you are able to isolate by pitch where the problem is.
How can you think both things you posted are true? Don’t they contradict?
from elcroata's post
And, one last time, I don’t care about quantifying it and I am not running a conclusion that Carlos is a bad player, nor that his away splits are the true level of his skill. All players have better home splits. I am open to the possibility that Coors might improve CG’s home stats somewhat more than it would for a different type of a player, and if it does I could see why. Nothing more, so, please don’t misquote me.

wasn't 2010 his first full season in MLB?
There’s no reason to think he won’t get better.
but this is old news already…
No, he first came up with the A's in 2008.
He was up with the Rockies in 2009 and of course 2010. If this was his first year he would be the rookie of the year.
his first full season was 2010
he was up and down with the A’s in 2008, and he began 2009 in AAA. The Rockies called him up later.
My point remains the same.
Thoughts?
He is gone, we need to let it go.
I have abandonment issues. Thanks Lew.
