How much time did Leyritz get again?
Oh yeah, just probation.
Sounds about right:
Non-baseball player kills a baseball player. 51 years to life.
Baseball player kills non-baseball player. One year probabtion.
And not that it matters since they were not at fault, but it was brought up that the other driver in the Leyritz accident was drinking as well….so was the other driver in the Adenhart accident.
leyritz was acquitted of manslaughter charges
Jurors decided that Leyritz did not run a red light and cause the crash, and evidence showed it was Veitch who likely ran the light. Veitch was also driving drunk before the crash and was thrown from her vehicle because she was not wearing a seat belt, according to court documents.

it's also worth noting that this was andrew gallo's second drunk driving conviction...
and after the first, he signed a court document saying that he could be charged with murder if he drove drunk again and killed someone.
i hear ya on the athletes getting better treatment, but this does not appear to be that.

Thanks for the correction
I did not recall that from the Leyritz case.
Still, what a role chance plays. Both were drunk. Could have just as well been Leyritz who ran the red light. Could have been him who died. Same in the Adenhart case.
Yeah, money (and fame) talks
The one that really got me was Leonard Little. No jail time. Then he gets busted driving under the influence a few years later. You’d think he would have realized he caught a break and would never take such a chance again. But then he gets off again. So how’s he ever going to learn?
Whatever you learn, you forget while under the influence of alcohol
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal
I dunno....
my drunken arithmetic is pretty damn good, but my vehicle and heavy machinery operation skills in addition to my ability to not “oggle” lady parts are all severly impacted, so I avoid those when under the influence. Also drunken oggling is illegal in Massachusetts (damn puritans!)…so is drunk driving.
