What do we need Harden for if we gave McCarthy 1MM? Unless, of course we use him in the pen which could work. I hope it is just a minor league contract!!!

More competition for number 5 isn't bad

Between Ross Outman harden McCarthy and whoever else we should be able to find some decent.

absolutely use him in the pen

using him in short bursts, he could get his FB back up to 97-98. He’s essentially a 2 pitch pitcher now, which profiles way better as a reliever. He could be an amazing 8th inning guy.
