“The 29-year-old continued to encounter health issues in 2010, but the low ERA and remarkable strikeout numbers were nowhere to be found. Prior battled glute and shoulder injuries this year and posted a 5.58 ERA with 7.3 K/9 and 6.1 BB/9 in 92 innings for the Rangers. "
Just a little slip there, easy mistake to make… Maybe we’ll use him in the bullpen?
Kinda crazy if you ask me
What do we need Harden for if we gave McCarthy 1MM? Unless, of course we use him in the pen which could work. I hope it is just a minor league contract!!!

More competition for number 5 isn't bad
Between Ross Outman harden McCarthy and whoever else we should be able to find some decent.
WTF GEREN?!?!?!

Crazy, yeah look at his # breakdown
Career ERA/FIP/xFIP: 3.63/3.88/3.98
2010 ERAA/FIP/xFIP: 5.58/6.31/5.90
Career K/9: 9.13
2010: 7.34
Career BB/9: 4.16
2010: 6.07
Career HR/9: 0.94
2010: 1.76
Minor league contract or bullpen, no way can he make the 5th spot if we are competitive.
absolutely use him in the pen
using him in short bursts, he could get his FB back up to 97-98. He’s essentially a 2 pitch pitcher now, which profiles way better as a reliever. He could be an amazing 8th inning guy.
Bullpen:
Bailey
Devine
Harden
Wuertz
Breslow
Ziegler
That ain’t half bad.
If Pennington manages 17 HRs, I’ll vow to consume an article of clothing to achieve a humorous effect --Joey C.

you could wear it anyway
but i get your point
"If you hit .440 with 20 bombs, you don't have to do s---. You don't have to bring a glove to practice, just hit and leave whenever you want. You can bring a 40 and smoke a cigarette and call me from the parking lot asking me what time the game is, and I'll tell you. You can even say 'F--- you, Steve!' Actually, don't say that, that wouldn't be very nice." -Steve Friend, Head Coach, Chabot College Gladiators Baseball
Ya and now Renck
is saying its “unconfirmed” but the Rockies are out of it. That changed fast.
