Iwakuma/Nomura: The Saga Continues

Seeing as we've amassed 1,000+ comments on the other thread, I thought we should overflow our comments to a new one.

Let's recap:

A's win bid on Iwakuma. Some reports say $16M, some $18M and Nomura says $19.1M, which was then confirmed by Slusser.

Iwakuma apparently is looking for a "Barry Zito/Jason Schmidt type deal." A's offer something around 4 years $15M, Iwakuma wants better annual salary and only 3 years.

Nomura takes to the twitterverse.

So this is where we were as of yesterday. Then Nomura retracted his stance a bit, in saying the Slusser that he hoped a deal would get done.

Well, apparently HE wasn't done, because he's back on twitter, mostly getting in to it with this guy, who is awesome:

Warning some day you might find urself n a weird twitter argument with a Japanese business man. I'll never forget the day it happened to me. via Twitter for iPhone

And here's the link to Nomura's twitter.

Others can post all his tweets if they like, but here's a brief sampling of what he's saying (there were some in Japanese that I won't touch, leave that to PT and others who have some knowledge of the language):

@Kfippin re-read the chronicle I never asked for anything. U r accusing me foe asking zito money....never did.

As well as:

@Kfippin why care so much about the club they are profiting so much it's unbelievable. Bud selling is making 13 mil!? Is that ok? Dnt kno!

So there you have it.

I will continue to update this post as I find time and more develops, but I figured that since we're still actively discussing this, it was about time for a new thread!
