DLD 10 31 10 - Happy Strange-o-ween!

I'm late with this, but since no one has created a DLD for today already, I'll still do it. It's all about me. Me in costume.

Months ago I mentioned that I had dressed up as Dark Helmet from Spaceballs for a costume party. A couple folks wanted to see pictures, and I was able to track down a couple of them to scan in. I ended up winning a gift certificate in the Movie Characters category at the party I went to that year.

There is also another photo with the visor up so you can see my Rick Moranis impression.

Back in 2000, I dressed up as the 1-800-CALL-ATT guy. The picture is kinda crappy, but the sweatshirt has foam buttons on it. Many drunk girls pressed their phone numbers into my chest that night.

Cigar, fur coat, weird hat, booze and a large nose? I must be Humpty Hump.

A couple years ago I dressed up for the office party. It pained me to wear a Detroit hat, especially since this was 2006. Yes, the year the Tigers knocked the A's out of the playoffs. But as they say, the costume is in the details. Magnum, PI.

Ok, so it's not all about me. here's a few of my son, Hunter. At about 15 weeks, this was his first costume, a lion.

And here is his costume the next year, an elephant. Unfortunately, he got a fever a few hours before we were supposed to go trick-or-treating, so he didn't get to wear it out.

And this year's costume, and probably his favorite in his short Halloween career. My wife made the jersey from scratch.

Here's another look at the back, where you can see more of the work my wife did.

Last year I took advantage of my handlebar mustache, and played the part of a villain.

And one more of me. Probably one of my best costumes, or at least the one that surprised the most amount of people. The entire suit is covered in tape. Duct tape, that is. And some electrical tape on the hat, tie and highlights. The suit stayed in my closet for a couple years, but it smelled so bad that it had to be tossed. If you look closely, you'll see a hand pointing.  It's pointing to my bare ass. Yes, this was an Assless Duct Tape Suit.

If you've got costume pics, post them!
