It's Saturday. Let's go somewhere and watch the playoffs!
YAY A DECISION.
We are meeting up at the GRAND OAK SPORTS BAR located at 736 Washington Street in Oakland! Happy hour prices during the game according to wacchampions, so blame him if it's not!
Yes, this is an abuse of a fANpost. Oh well.
I'd thought about going to visit our esteemed AN colleague mrod down at Public House, where it's attached to Phone Booth Park, donned in A's gear and cheering for the Phillies. The few A's fans I asked about going along didn't seem to excited about it, lol!
Another suggestion was Rickys Sports Bar in San Leandro. A few more people were interested in going there, however it's been found out that there is a $15 cover charge tonight starting at 5pm because they are also broadcasting the Pay-Per-View UFC fights. Personally, I'm not into dropping money on a cover charge for a sports bar, no matter how hot their waitresses might be.
SO... anybody up for getting together somewhere? No/Yes/F You Mikey?

BTW happy hour prices during the game at the Grand Tavern, 3601 Grand Avenue, and no cover
also, the Grand Oaks Restaurant and Sports Bar (3701 Grand Ave) has multiple humongous screens. No cover here either.
In Berkeley, Meridian International Sports Café has multiple screens, couches and easy chairs in front of some of them, a nice selection of beers on tap and good food. No cover. 2050 University Avenue.
The best would be for a bunch of A’s fans to congregate in force in once place..
That's the idea, yeah.
preferably as centrally located as possible for everybody.

Oh, and also preferably someplace that is relatively inexpensive.
Happy hour prices sounds good.

Does the Grand Tavern have TVs and stuff?
The cheap bastard in me leans heavily toward happy hour prices.

Which would be better for a group, and which has parking
between the Grand Tavern and the Grand Oaks Sports Bar?

The Grand Tavern has a lot next door
That they can use evenings (don’t know what time that starts). Grand Oaks doesn’t.
They’re really different places. GT is a Craftsman pub, and GO is a restaurant.

Sadly, it appears that you're the only one
looks like it will be the Grand Oak Sports Bar on Washington St in Oakland.
I think.

because of my work schedule I don't think I could make it down to Ricky's
however, I could be talked into stopping by the Grand Tavern or the Grand Oaks Restaurant and Sports Café (both on Grand Avenue near the Grand Lakes Theater)
I'm down with either location
Thursday, too, though that one I’d be late for.
I was also going to suggest Meridian in Berkeley for some one of these games, but according to several Yelpers it’s gone rapidly downhill.

that's too bad
Giggling One and I watched one of the 2009 playoff games last year, and it was a nice place then.
I still want to meet you people in real life
But as a warriors season ticket holder I will be occupied with a more important sporting event.
