Post your (updated) post-season predictions here...
Ok, I guess my AL picks pretty much bombed. Got the NL correct. It's funny how teams can be hot or cold, out-of-character, and how that affects your thoughts of them going forward. At least right now, I'm thinking the Phillies are looking way too dominant. Subject to change at any moment, of course. Let's revise and update...
Who I want to win...
ALCS - Rangers over Yankees in 5
NLCS - Phillies over Giants in 4
WS - Rangers over Phillies in 7
Who I think will win...
ALCS - Yankees over Rangers in 6
NLCS - Phillies over Giants in 6
WS - Phillies over Yankees in 7
What say you?

My take
Phillies in 6 over the Giants.
Rangers over the Yanks in 7.
Phillies in 6 over the rangers.
Biggest surprise Molina 3 run homer off CC in game 1 of the ALCS.
Yanks over Rangers in 4
Phillies over Giants in 7.
Yanks over Phillies in 5.
Biggest surprise; MVP of WS will be Posada
Every man for himself...
I think
Yankees in five
Phillies in seven
And then, Yankees over Phillies in six
Biggest hope/surprise: Brett Gardner [a college classmate] does well enough to generate some buzz and not just because ESPN is obliged to pimp the AL East team still in the postseason he’s a Yankee.
Texas over Phillies.
Or Phillies over Yankees.
Or Texas over Giants.
Or Yankees and Giants both lose.
...
Royals over Blue Jays in 6
Pirates over Mets in 7
Royals over Mets for their first WC in 25 years.
Oh wait… wrong timeline…

What I want to happen:
Yankees over Rangers in one game. I know it isn’t possible. But I think if the Yankees can win by a score of like 50-2, the Rangers might just lie down and die like the overrated streaky team they are.
Giants over Phillies. Of course, I’m conflicted. I’m for the Giants, but I don’t think they can beat the Yankees or the Rangers. And that’s what’s really important here. So I don’t know what I want.

If its a Rangers/Giants World series
so few people would care it probably wouldnt even be televised.
I predicted Yanks/Phils last December, I’m still in it. This season had the least surprises ever. Maybe the Mariners sucking was the only one. Every other team was about where they should be.
Rays were better than I expected. Red Sox were worse.

What I think will happen:
(Keep in mind, I did pretty well on my predictions before the LDS: Phils, Yanks, Rangers all advanced.)
Yankees over Rangers in seven: I just don’t think the Rangers can compete with the Yankees over the full seven, and I’m pretty sure the Yankees can stretch it out to seven.
Phillies over Giants in four, MAYBE five, MAYBE six: the Giants can squeak out a win somewhere in those first three games, I’m sure, and maybe even a second one in Game Four or Game Five, but there’s no way this goes the full seven, and there’s no way the Giants win.
Phillies over Yankees in seven: The Yankees will beat Oswalt and Blanton. They will not touch Halladay or Hamels.

Coolstandings.com says Giants have a 47% chance of winning
Willing to split the difference and give me 3:1 odds on the Giants winning?
Please say yes…

Unfortunately, my predictions are right on the mark thus far...
and my hope-list has failed miserably, with only the Phillies left.

Here's my 2 cents:
Yankees over the Rangers in 6.
Giants over the Phillies in 6.
Giants over the Yankees in 6 or 7.
Main point being that if the Gigantes get past Philly they will have home field advantage over the AL team they face and the Giants just pitch too well, especially at home, to lose in a best of seven. Cheers!

My view
Phillies in 5 – Phils are equal if not better on the mound than the Giants and are far superior at the plate.
Yankees in 7 – I think the Rangers will make a good run of it, but it’s the Yankees, somehow they’ll pull it out be it through skill or dumb luck (and much to Selig’s delight)
Phillies over the Yankees in 6 – Phils are just too good all around and they’re not afraid of NY, they’ve been on the stage too recently to be effected.
Sadly,
Yanks over Rangers in 6, Phils over San Fran in 5, Yanks over Phils on 7. Boring!
