Paul Smyth makes it look easy.
He still hasn’t given up a run this season. That makes 36.1 innings worth of shutout baseball with a 44/4 K/BB to boot.
"We were shit, pathetic," Guillen growled early in spring training. "We hit too many home runs."

I never thought I'd say this...but
I have been bogged down by some school work. Here are results from the today and yesterday…
I am SO jealous. All my friends left for school already, and I’m sitting around doing nothing waiting to start. Lame. I hate off days.

I'm amazed
When hear people talk about school work because I’ve been back in school for almost 3 weeks now and I’ve had a grand total of 1 assignment.

You're teacher is either amazing or just god awful.
He or she is pretty awesome probably.

I'm a college student
So I have multiple teachers which makes this even more astounding

Last semester I had one assignment due between the start of classes and the start of finals
This semester, as far as I know, that number will be zero…

I'm impressed that Capra has been able to maintain his effectiveness after so many innings
especially with a promotion to the California League.

I'm guessing
Just because they want to get him some AB’s and don’t want to risk injury by having him field as well.

anyone know if buck has stuck to his new swing?
i remember hearing a few weeks back that he’s been working hard to take the wiggle out of it, which could explain his pretty big drop in batting average. if he is, we probably won’t see the effects until next season, but hopefully it helps him get back to the show and get consistent ABs.

when I saw him last, he still had the bat wiggle going on
That was a couple weeks ago, so I’m not sure what the new swing looks like.

When do minor league playoffs start?
Is Sactown the only one of our affiliates going to playoffs?

Started tonight.
Midland and Kane County are in the playoffs too, I believe.
