Tri Valley fan meet up anyone? September 26th? A's v. Angels, TV and beer?
Hey everyone... I always miss AN Day because my dang wife always schedules something else months in advance. 6 years running, how the heck does that happen?
So I was thinking, maybe we should have a little neighborhood get together to view an away game together? So if you are in the Tri Valley (or if you aren't and don't mind coming out to hang with a bunch of suburbanites) and interested, please let me know. Some logistics, below the fold, await.
My thought is to have a casual meet up at a place where folks can bring their kids if they would like and still drink beer! The places I can think of are in the poll. I ahve not been to all fo these places so I am not sure if they will even have the A's on TV at each (let me know if you know)If there is somewhere else, please suggest it. Any where needs to have a TV, a bar and foods.
Here are some details on each of the spots
The Hopyard (I just put the Pleasanton Yelp, the San Ramon is similar): official site yelp page
Main Street Brewery: official site yelp page
First Street Ale House: official site yelp page
Go A's!

I would totally come to the Ale House!

I guess it's just us
It’s not gay if we’re both A’s fans right? AMIRITE?

Ice Cream lives in livermore fairly close to where I'm at.
McFood, too, I think?

They're just pissed off because we have garages and front/back yards.

I would come if I am able to and not already going to the game
I usually go watch at Beeb’s http://www.beebsatlaspositas.com/ by the golf course in Livermore (easy freeway access) but they close at 8 PM or the Rock House Sports Bar/grill http://www.rockhousesportspubandgrill.com/ on Portola in Livermore. Food and service there can be “Meh!” BUT – both of these can handle a larger group. I’m not familiar with the restaurants in P-Town.
I like the Ale House – they usually have the OTHER team in the bay on their TV but they’ve got the best beer (if you like that sort of thing!)
It’d be novel to get the urbanites to come join US!!

I’d come, but after all the energetic poo-slinging that accompanied the departure of the cabbage boys, I don’t think you have me in-mind. You might also consider a Walnut Creek venue — there are a few urbs that might brave the tunnel, but I think they get nervous beyond the 680/24 junction.

WOW - I guess I totally missed that!
I have no idea what you’re talking about!

Walnut Creek? It's actually a pleasant little burg, with some sports bars.
As to the rest, it was not anybody’s finest hour, in my view.
