Psh, take a little more time to put this up.
The games ended, like what, 2 hours before you posted this. Psh. Slacker.
But in all seriousness, thanks for your hard work. Much appreciated by everyone.

Just a question.
I assume the A’s brass hope and see the future A’s line up with Carter and Wallace in the 3-4 holes, baring some unforeseen trade or FA acquisition. So are they hitting in the 3-4 spots with the Rivercats?

Carter has been hitting lower in the line-up
He’s been hitting around the 6 spot since getting the promotion to Sacramento. I imagine they want him to focus on adjusting to the new level with a little less pressure.

What a good "Storey"
Mickey Storey continues his dominance of the minor leagues. Yesterday for Midland: 2 IP, 0 ER, 0BB, 3K
His numbers for the year in the minors: 49.2 IP, 26 H, 11 R, 7 ER, 2 HR, 8 BB, 68 K
He obviously is demonstrating great command, but does anybody have a read on what his repertoire is to be so dominate?

Great numbers from Storey
From what I’ve heard he has a fringy fastball that sits around 90 with a little movement that he controls very well and a big slow curve that has been befuddling minor league hitters. I don’t know if he throws anything else.

Does anyone like Conner Crumbliss as much as I do?
Crumbliss is 5’8" and 175 lbs and was picked in the 28th round in this year’s draft out of Emporia State. He’s putting up solid numbers so far, (.296 .435 OBP, 50 R, 23 RBI, 13 for 16 SB, in 67 games between Vancouver and Kane County. Actually putting up better numbers in KC). Plus, he has an awesome nickname, “pocketknife”, given to him by the Vancouver Canadians broadcaster because he does a little bit of everything on the field.
I don’t know, I just like rooting for a guy like this.

Fun guy to root for
But my general rule on mid-late round College guys who are big on skills and polish but light on tools and have good production in the low minors is to take a wait and see approach.
You can never know for sure how any individual player will develop and I don’t know all that much about Crumbliss, but a lot of guys with his general profile tend to evaporate before reaching AA.

I totally agree with you
but it’s just fun to root for him. I’m endlessly amused by the fact that he’s a 5’8’’ 175 lb center fielder.

Love him.
Don’t see any reason he can’t be Reggie Willits.
