I think
the team has played very well the 2nd half, with improvement shown in key areas.. this coupled with the continuing onslaught being provided by the future A’s like Wallace and Carter in the minors gives me at least a modicum of hope we won’t be 22 out next September and beyond.

I am hopeful for next year - although I understand the FULL strength "new" A's are expected in 2011

He has played for one year, but yeah, he’s already not an NFL quarterback.
Look at what he did down the stretch last season.
L @ MIA (11-5) — Week 11: 15-for-22 (68%), 156 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
W @ DEN (8-8) — Week 12: 10-for-11 (91%), 152 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
L @ SD (8-8) — Week 14: 9-for-13 (69%), 68 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT
L vs. NE (11-5) — Week 15: 17-for-32 (53%), 242 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT

Those are winning teams that he faced down the stretch of last season in his first year as a starter.
