Verizon Coliseum?
Rumor is that Verizon is discussing five year naming rights for the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum.
The article says that the last deal ran out in 2007, but I'm pretty sure it ran out in September of 2008.

I wonder what Carl Everett would say about this

haha
Still mad at him for that and is little crying fit. Took my nephew to that game. I pointed out to my nephew the phone behind everett on the field. Carl then turned around and looked at it. Picked it up and threw it over the fence. (Guess hitting the security guard in the head.) Then hear that Everett says he got hit in the head. Um I saw when Everett first noticed the phone on the field and it was three feet away from him.

As if it matters
I know it is hardly exclusive to Oakland that people throw things on the field, but I wish it was exclusive to Oakland that people didn’t.
This sets up an interesting, new cross Bay rivalry
AT&T v. Verizon the stadium/phone/fiber to the home war!!!!! This Time: It’s Business.
All new lows for the Oakland A's organization
if it happens that is.

The A's don't have any control over the name of the Coliseum

I'm not saying that they do....
they don’t benefit either. Its just another in the long line of downward trends associated with the organization.
