Wallace up this year?

After aquiring Brett Wallace, many people are anxious to see him in the bigs. Here's 3 reasons why he needs to finish the year in AAA

Reason 1: He would have to play 3b, due to the 1b logjam, and he is most likely not ready defensively yet.

Everyone has known that it might be a longshot for Wallace to become a major league third baseman, and he has not had enough coaching to become ready to man the hot corner. If he did move to first base, then you have wallace, everidge, barton, giambi and even nomar competeing for playing time there. Also, not all of these guys could remain on the 25 man roster, and giambi and nomar can only leave via trade. Everidge has perforemed well enough so far to earn his chance, and I believe its time to see barton for a longer period of time, instead of shuttling him back to Sac.

Reason 2: Why rush our "top" prospect in a lost season.

If he is to be our future 3b or middle of the order guy, why risk him losing confidence at the major league level or not developing enough in AAA. There is no need for him right now, and seeing that cardenas is in AAA, why not let our future starting lineup get familiar with each other now? We've rushed a lot of prospects up, and seeing as Cahill and Mazzaro are struggling, it doesnt seem to be working.

Reason 3: Adam Kennedy

If we let Adam Kennedy man the third base spot, he can remain happy to be in Oakland and we can hopefully resign him next year as our next Marco. AK has played far above expectations and has provided a little bit of life in an other words unintimidating lineup.

We might see Wallace in September, which is fine, as long as if he doesnt start a large percentage of games. Let's be ok with winning in 2011/2012 and going foward instead of getting impatient and wanting to win before we're ready(basically 2009)
