O.T. Does anyone have a good idea on where to shoot a good baseball movie?
I just got done turning in our teams film for the "San Jose" 48 Hr Film project. Our amateur film team did a short ( 5 min) WW2 movie shot out of Petaluma called "Vernicher". ( We had a real Tank! )
Our team won The Jury's Selection Award in last months "San Francisco" 48 hr film fest out of 75 competitors. I was thinking on doing a baseball movie next and wondered if anyone had any ideas on a good place to film one around the bay. a real ballpark's time would have to be donated. Thanks, and let me know what you think about the movie.

I don't have specific answer for you
but could you approach a school to use theirs? All the kids are off at the moment, I’m sure someone would help out.
Oh, and let us know how the film goes – I love these 48hr shorts
He'd have to film pretty quickly. I think school is starting very soon.

I guess it depends on the kind of ballpark you're looking for
Pro? Amateur? College? High school?

I don't think it matters what level of ballpark
I want it to be visually appealing in some unique way and somewhat secluded. A field of dreams if you may but i don’t expect to find one that unique and secluded.

I don't know if this is what you might be looking for but I kind of liked Franklin Park when I lived in Alameda
Not sure if you can see it with this link but it’s a small little place more for Little League ball right next to a pool just off Grand St. The fence is short with big trees right there and next to the street are some rose bushes.
Of course, that’s about as small as you’re going to get.

Big rec in SF is a cool place
where I played in MS and varsity HS but I wouldn’t really give it secluded but its got nice built in bleachers that would work well if you were putting fans in the stands.
Eventually, my colleague and I trotted from the two-bit seats to the three-bit seats to get a closer view of the action. - Jlaff on Turn Back the Clock Day

Washington Park in Santa Clara
Washington Park is one of the few parks in the area that has a well preserved old grandstand. It’s on the Buchser Middle School campus near Santa Clara University. Both Carney and Jered Lansford played there. Map.

I played at a field of dreams in Redding, Ca.
It was pretty awesome. I dunno how real it looks though.
